How to wear it

A dhoti needs a shorter top so the drape stays visible. A short kurti or a fitted top in mustard, cream or deep green works well. Mustard is warm, so oxidised silver or antique gold both suit it.

Juttis or flats. It works for daily wear, a day out, a pooja or a casual festive day.

Care

Hand wash or a gentle machine wash. Wash it separately the first two or three times, dry in shade inside out, and do not wring hard. Iron on the reverse side.

A dhoti pant is draped rather than straight cut. The fabric falls in folds around the hip and narrows at the ankle, so it is loose where you want room and neat at the bottom.

Is this embroidered?
No. The design is printed. There is no embroidery on this dhoti.
