A black cotton afghani pant with embroidery, cut loose and gathered at the ankle. An afghani, sometimes called a dhoti salwar, is the roomiest pant we make. There is a lot of fabric through the hip and thigh and it narrows only at the bottom, so nothing clings anywhere. If you want to sit cross-legged at a function and still be comfortable at the end of the evening, this is the cut.

How to wear it

An afghani balances best with a shorter, straighter kurti. A long flowing kurti over a full afghani makes the whole outfit look heavy, so keep the top simple and fitted. A plain short kurti in any colour over black works well for a festive day, and flat juttis or kolhapuris finish it nicely.

Sizes are listed by waist in inches, not by letters. Please measure your waist with a tape and choose by the inches.

Sizes vary by style, so do check the inches on each product rather than going by the letter you usually buy. On this pant the cotton shrinks a little after washing, so if you are at the top edge of a size please take the next size up.
